Our strategy

Our Partnership has a vision where West Yorkshire is seen as:

• A thriving economy, where businesses invest, develop and grow
• Having an entrepreneurial culture, prepared to embrace change and nurture innovation, a place where risks can be taken
• A high-wage, high-skill economy
• A place where prosperity benefits all the West Yorkshire communities.

In realising this vision, the West Yorkshire Enterprise Partnership has worked with its partners to deliver an Enterprise Strategy for West Yorkshire. This strategy is founded on four key strategic themes that are drawn from and build upon, the national priorities of Government and fully complement the Regional Economic Strategy, which will together fulfil the vision that the Partnership has for West Yorkshire.

These strategic themes are:

• Increasing enterprise
• Improving competitiveness
• Raising skill levels of the workforce
• Promoting an inclusive society.
